HURRAY! IT IS ALMOST TIME TO HEAD NORTH!

we are just 20 hours from getting in the car and heading north. the baby is excited and we are looking forward to making some memories with her. i only wish that josh, tova and painter could be there. can you guys believe that the uncle and i have been married for 30 years (30th anniversary next month), and that this will be my my 35th easter up north?

in all the rush of this past week, i almost forgot to ship her a little easter package. i was hoping to send it to l.a., but they decided to stay in n.y. till the move at the end of this month. i am looking forward to my trip to n.y. it will be my 5th trip in less than 18 months. i have loved going there and will miss it, but i will be happy to be able to run down south to see my littlest angel. there is nothing like these little grandchildren we have been blessed to have. sid had three of them, and he never got to hold and play with them. i'll never forget when he held zaeda and she was asleep in his arms. i could see how much he wanted to hold his own, but his children never gave him that chance. i know that they regret it, and maybe someday they will be able to forgive themselves. today is the day for all of us to mend and repair relationships with people that we may have felt wronged by or hurt. life it fragile,a nd we need to embrace every minute of it before we no longer can. i love you all and hope we can make more memories together this weekend. can't wait to see you all!

We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord's tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. This was quoted By Elder Neal A. Maxwell on October 10, 1978, and posted on my friend's blog. It rings so true to what is happening now, so I wanted to add it to our blog for the rest of us to ponder.
