HELLO AGAIN!

i'm back to reality. i often wonder why life cannot be like a vacation everyday. i really love vacations. it takes us away from all our chores and responsibilities and gives us a chance to catch our breath and finally breath. but like the old saying says "all good things must come to an end".

rats! oh well!

paris was beautiful. i see why so many people love it. the history there is incredable. the museums are out of this world. grandma and i went up on the ifle tower. we saw all the important sites and even took a river cruise on the famous seine river. cafes were everywhere. the food was yummie, especially the fresh bread and croissants. grandma and i caught up on some movies we had not seen. we saw a total of 8 movies each on both long flights. it helped pass the boring time away. the only thing we did not like was the high price of food and clothing. it's a good thing i was on a diet. it kept me from overeating and spending too much on food. i did still enjoy all the croissants and crepes. the crepes makers were everywhere on every corner of the cobblestone streets just like the bakeries. the crepes were a reasonable price and they were huge. i had nutella and banana ones. yummie! they were about 5.50 in us dollars. not bad for a filling meal. the gyros and pitas were great too. lots of greek food there.

well, today i go back to work. we had an overnight mini vacation when i got home from paris and took zae and elissa to the snow. she had a blast. while there i got word that sidney, one of my coworkers who was a great friend also, passed away. i was totally shocked and saddened by his death. he had only been retired less than a year and was barely 55. i was greateful to have known him. he truly loved our family and was good to all of us. i find comfort in knowing that he is with all his sisters and mom who have gone before him, and that he was a good person who tried hard and never gave up. we will miss him greatly. i hope to learn from him, and to love and live my life to its fullest because we never know when our turn on earth will be over.
